Community Guidelines FAQ
ARE GUESTS ALLOWED AT GSD?
Members may host guests (non-members) at GSD; however, meetings must be held in the conference room, not in common areas. Members must purchase Day Passes for any guests that would like to use common areas at GSD. In order for a member to host a guest or guests in the conference room, it must be reserved in advance. Members assume liability for the conduct of any guests they bring into GSD, including financial responsibility for any damages sustained to the space at the hand of said guests.
Please note that while our members have 24/7 access to our space, our staff is only able to accommodate tours for non-members by appointment only, Monday through Friday. We cannot accept walk-ins, and Day Passes must be purchased in advance. Thank you for planning accordingly.
HOW DO I USE THE CONFERENCE ROOM?
Members may utilize the conference room informally if it is not reserved. In order to guarantee exclusive use of the conference room, members must make a formal reservation on the reservations calendar.
Non-members/guests of members are not permitted in the conference room without a reservation.
HOW DO I USE THE PRINTER/FAX/COPY MACHINE?
The printer/fax/copy machine is free for members to use within reason. Please be mindful of how much paper and ink you are using for both the good of our community and the environment. We ask you to be respectful of other members who may need to use the printer by not overusing the machine. Dedicated Desk members may bring their own printers to GSD if they choose.
MAY I BRING CHILDREN AND PETS TO GSD?
GSD is a professional office space that allows our members to escape from the things that distract them and derail their productivity at home and in public. To this end, young children and pets are not permitted at GSD. Children of active members over 5 are permitted at GSD, provided that they stay with their parent at all times and do not disturb other members. Any member whose child is in violation of this standard will be asked to leave, and any damage sustained to the property by the child will be billed to the parent (including cleaning charges). Children of non-members over the age of 5 are permitted for private event rentals with prior consent from our staff.
WHO IS RESPONSIBLE FOR KEEPING OUR SPACE CLEAN?
GSD is a shared workspace. Members are responsible for cleaning up after themselves, including putting trash in trash cans and loading dishes into the dishwasher.
AM I ALLOWED TO DRINK ALCOHOL AND/OR SMOKE AT GSD?
Cigarette smoking or use of illegal drugs is never permitted at GSD. Alcohol is permitted at private events on a case-by-case basis.
HOW DO I USE THE PHONE BOOTHS?
Phone booths are provided for the convenience of our Dedicated Desk and Hot Desk members that need to make private phone calls without disrupting other members or being disrupted. They are not intended to serve as mini offices. Members should utilize the booths for calls only, and limit time spent in them to 60 min or less. .
